On January 19th 2021, The TRHAA hosted its first virtual Speaker Panel titled “New Year, Same Goal: How Hospitality Executives Continue Adapting”. Panelists featured included hospitality professionals Glenn Brown (President, Bento Sushi), Reetu Gupta (CEO/President, The Easton’s Group of Hotels/The Gupta Group), Lee Jackson (Vice President Retail Development, Jones Lang LaSalle), and Hani Roustom (CEO, Friday Harbour Resort). The panel was moderated by Cyrus K. Cooper (President of the TRHAA).
All profits went towards fundraising for student scholarships.
Key discussions included adapting in the industry in the midst of COVID-19, how team culture and moral has continued to thrive, the importance of diversity in the workplace and many other topics.

The TRHAA hosted a Virtual Pub Night, the association's first online event. We are so grateful to have had 5 amazing speakers talk about their experiences after graduation. Thank you to Peter Chiu, Juanita Dickson, Daniel Iliescu, Nasreen Kamal, and Sandy Yong for taking the time to speak to our recent grads!
The Ted Rogers Business Career Hub hosted their Hospitality & Tourism Management Grad Breakfast. The event gave students who are in their graduating year an opportunity to network and connect with industry professionals. Students learned more about opportunities with future employers as well as insights for what the industry is like.
HTM hosted the inaugural 200 Coffee Chats for the Advanced Career Strategies (HTH901) class! Over 40 HTM grads and industry professionals participated and connected with current 3rd and 4th-year students.
